I really like the look of an existing site, can you incorporate the feel of this site into my website build even though its nothing to do with my business model?

Absolutely! One of the things we will ask you before we commence work on your project is if there are any existing websites that you really love the “look and feel” of, this gives us a great design starting point to build upon when designing your dream website, you can give us as many or as few examples of existing design work that you like the look of - don’t be afraid to be specific about your likes and dislikes.

How long will it take to build my Showcase website?

There are many factors that come into play when estimating a time frame for any website build. Showcase sites are the quickest to type of website to get live and we estimate that providing all content is supplied to us correctly and on time, most showcase sites are completed within 8-10 weeks of deposit payment received. Lots of things can delay this process, including lapses in communication or delays in content retrieval etc, however we endeavour to complete all projects in a timely and effective manor best suited to each individual client and project specifications.

What is the difference between Showcase and E-Shop?

A showcase website is just like a beautifully curated and custom designed shop window… think of it as your shop’s storefront to showcase your work, products, services and or skills to your potential customers or clients. We help you to build your storefront, showcase what you have to offer and tell your story so that potential business can come your way easily and effectively via clear and concise contact information. An E-shop varies from a Showcase site in that it has additional functionality that enables the client or customer to make purchases of goods or services via a website shop within the website itself.

Is there a limit to how many products I can have in my shop?

Absolutely not - Rockpool includes the creation and set up of 50 products in the standard E-shop package, however you can add bolt on bundles of products for minimal costs (just ask and we will be happy to price this up for you) or alternatively you can wait until your website build is complete and you receive your handover training documentation which has step by step instructions on creating and changing products, this will give you invaluable practice and time “getting to know” your website once it is complete, however, the decision is yours. It is always good to remember that there is no finite finish to any website - they are forever changing and growing and adapting so there really are no limits to anything now or in the future!

What is a payment gateway? Which ones should I have?

Payment gateways are set up to allow customers or clients to pay for goods or services via your E-shop or E-commerce website. Usually we recommend starting with PayPal and/or Stripe. If you do not already have an account with either of these payment options they are very simple to set up. Both of these payment gateways accept most major credit and debit cards and many people use PayPal as a payment method when shopping online.

Can my E-Shop or E-Commerce site keep inventory?

Yes! If you want your shop to keep seamless inventory for you then its best to collate all this information before we begin building your shop - we will require SKU numbers for stock items (this is especially important if there are variable products i.e same product in different sizes or colours) and current stock numbers for each stock SKU. These will then be inputted when the products are built ready for the website launch, as products are sold via the website the stock quantities will adjust accordingly leaving you with an accurate total at all times. You can also manually adjust these totals should the need arise.

What’s the difference between an E-shop and an E-commerce website?

Whilst an E-shop allows customers or clients to purchase goods or services via an online shop facility an E-commerce website opens up this level of functionality to include the possibility of memberships, gift cards, members areas, complex shipping and payment systems, the possibilities of selling with an E-commerce platform really are endless.

Does my website come with the SEO I need to get found on Google?

Yes of course! SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation and it is the work done on the back end of your website pages and shop products which help Google to list you appropriately in searches on Google. All websites, from showcase to E-commerce built by Rockpool come with our complete standard SEO package. This includes completed SEO on all pages and products created by Rockpool. Instructions for altering the SEO on duplicated products in the future can be found in your handover training document or will be covered in your face to face training sessions.

What file types do I get with each branding package?

In BOTH packages you will received EPS, JPEG & PNG of whichever you decide to be your final logo.

Who owns the rights to the branding once I am all paid up?

In short, you do. You own all of the assets.

How do I receive my branding?

This will be shared with your via email.

What if I need different colour variants?

This happens more often than not, you can choose to add various colour ways to your package at any time.

Can I come back to you later down the line for extras?

Of course you can, you can come back to us whenever you like for our Add-Ons.

What if I have no idea what I like?

That’s ok, after speaking with you we will have a much better understanding about what you would need. Even if you aren’t sure!

I need social media banners, email signatures etc. Can you supply theses for me?

Yes of course. We can give you anything and everything you require, any extras just get added onto your package.

I have an existing logo, some of which I like. Can you work with that?

We can yes, depending on the file types you have. Sounds like you need an Evolution!

I want to start with an Evolution, what if I then need a Revolution?

Very occasionally this happens, but this is entirely your prerogative. Of course you can upgrade! You will just need a contractual annotation and a new quote.

I think I want a Micro Dip…but what if I change my mind? Maybe I will want more?

That’s has happened before! We simply upgrade your contract to accommodate you.

I want your advice but I have a web designer already I want to use/I want to make the changes myself, does that matter?

Absolutely not, we are happy to help. We really enjoy seeng existing working relationships work. We want to aid that.

Not to worry, we quite often have clients who aren’t sure where to start. Sometimes when you are in the depths of it all it is hard to know what should be the starting point. Of course we can help.
