Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Creativity, Collaboration, and Community at Rockpool Creative

As we dive into 2025, we’re taking a moment to look back at what was an incredible year for Rockpool Creative. 2024 was a year of challenges, opportunities, and collaboration. From launching new websites to supporting our community and longstanding clients, it was a year where creativity thrived, and partnerships flourished.

Here’s our retrospective on the highlights of 2024.

Website Launches and Digital Evolution

2024 was a productive year for us in terms of web development and digital strategy. We completed several high-impact projects that showcase the breadth of our expertise:

Stone Chapel: A beautifully designed website that encapsulated just how unique this chapel is.

Highgrove: The launch of a new website that combined modern design with user-focused functionality.

The Star in Rolvenden: Alongside their new website, we provided business advisory services, giving this lovely location a strong digital presence and the tools to succeed.

Groundscare & General Services Ltd: A significant refresh of their online presence, bringing a more modern and user-friendly website to life.

Vortex Electrical: A full website refresh and maintenance upgrade, ensuring everything ran smoothly and effectively.

The Funky Hen – Secret Boutique: A branding evolution and a website refresh for this fabulous clothing boutique, along with social media advice and training sessions to strengthen their online presence.

Community Engagement and Collaboration

2024 was also about giving back to our local community and engaging with the next generation of creative professionals…

  • Rye College Careers Event: In March, we had the opportunity to speak with students at Rye College, inspiring and guiding them as they explore the world of creative careers. It was an energising experience that reminded us of the importance of nurturing young talent and fostering creativity.

We were also able to attend the amazing SBS event.

SBS: In February, we attended the SBS Annual Event in Birmingham, where we networked with fellow entrepreneurs, gaining valuable insights and forming connections that will continue to shape our strategy in the years ahead.

Continued Support for Long-Term Clients

2024 also saw us continue our work with a large number of long-term clients, providing ongoing support and advice:

JR Builders LTd and Emperor Tours: It was great to reconnect with these clients from over five years ago, helping them evolve their digital presence with fresh, creative ideas.

Jempson’s:  Our ongoing partnership with this client has truly been one of the highlight of the year. Helping them navigate everything from Christmas packaging to the graphics for all their stores and cafés. This collaboration has really got our creative juices flowing! The work we have done together—from developing their spring graphics package to designing a full graphics refurb for their Rye store in time for VIP visitors—has been incredibly rewarding. Jen has even worked on concepts for their brand’s ready meals, pushing the boundaries of what we can create together. Jempson’s is not just a client; it’s a partnership that continues to inspire us, and we couldn’t be more excited for the future of this collaboration.

PLUS –  We worked with over 15 loyal client in 2024 for extension work such as copy adjustments, open day promotion, social media assistance, website annotations and more!

Non-Profit and Community Projects

We continued to give back to the community with ongoing pro-bono work for several local organisations:

Rye Bay Football Club: For the third year in a row, we supported the club with marketing services completely free of charge, helping them strengthen their community presence.

Rolvenden Primary School: We assisted with the school’s website on a voluntary basis, supporting their digital needs and helping them stay connected with their community.

Looking Ahead to 2025

While 2024 brought a few challenges, including a general sense of pause caused by the general election and a slowdown in spending, we are optimistic for the year ahead. The budget release and clarity on financial matters have given businesses a sense of direction, and we believe 2025 will be a year of growth and new opportunities for our clients.

At Rockpool Creative, we’re excited to continue supporting both new and existing clients, helping them navigate the ever-changing digital landscape. From website launches to branding evolutions, we are looking forward to seeing how the year unfolds and how we can continue making a positive impact on our clients’ success.

Here’s to a prosperous 2025!
