User Experience Research
It is an integral part of our research when we are redesigning a website to have a member of our team go over the existing site(s) with no information whatsoever, they then make extensive notes on their findings. We then conduct competitor research and combine this with our client brief prior to drawing up a full proposed site map.
Southeast Flowers was no exception to this format. The age of the previous sites, combined with a lack of modernisation was hugely hindering the customer journey as they navigated through their websites, which was apparent in their sightly sad analytics.
Brand Consistency
Southeast Flowers is exclusively for the trade industry – their customers range from small independent florists to Cathedrals. Not ostracising any of the above or those who fit in between was a huge part of the design of this project.
Focus on ease of use for staff
As with any family run company, the option of having more than one member of staff knowing how to change and add blogs, copy and stock is absolutely imperative. Even those not so tech savvy! Full training was provided to two members of staff, with one of Rockpool’s well known handover documents being sent to the office for secure storage.
